Rattlewood Golf Course was acquired by the Authority in 1995 from a private developer. Featuring an 18,000 square-foot clubhouse that was converted from residential use, Rattlewood is eight miles north of Damascus on Penn Shop Road off Maryland Route 27.
The par 72 course is average in length, but somewhat challenging. There is an interesting variety of holes offering tempting risk/reward opportunities. Among golfers, Rattlewood has a reputation for being open during wet conditions because it drains very effectively.
Rattlewood’s Tuesday and Thursday Night Golf League Needs YOU!
Our Tuesday and Thursday night league is comprised of two persons playing weekly with a handicap against two other players. The league plays until September, when playoffs begin. We schedule all players by reserved tee time weekly. The entry fee is $70, which includes a 9-hole handicap and an 18-hole handicap, a league banquet at the end of the season, and prizes.
