Head Golf Professional: Deen Greer
In October of 1997, Dean Greer assumed the position as Head Golf Professional at Laytonsville Golf Course. Dean has been an employee of the Montgomery County Revenue Authority for the past 10 years; first, as an Assistant Golf Professional and Teaching Professional at Poolesville Golf Course.

Many changes have taken place since Dean has become Head Golf Professional at Laytonsville Golf Course; including the renovation of the facility, the purchase of new golf cars, a rebuilding of bunkers, with more improvements on the horizon. Dean exemplifies a strong commitment to customer service.

Having four children of his own, Dean is concerned with the future of golf, and has developed many junior camps and programs, to be included this season, which have proven to be very successful in the past.

Dean Greer was the recipient of the 2003 Middle Atlantic PGA Junior Golf Leader Award.

Superintendent: Jeff Vance
Jeff Vance began working on a golf course when he was in high school. Upon graduation, he broadened his knowledge and sharpened his skills working in the building industry. In 1989, he returned to Laytonsville Golf Course on a full-time basis, and attended classes at the University of Maryland and at Montgomery College. He graduated from the University of Maryland, School of Applied Agriculture with a degree in Golf Course Management in 1995. Jeff worked as the Assistant Superintendent at Laytonsville from 1993 to 1997. He served as the Interim Superintendent from April 1997 until June of 1998, at which time he was promoted to Superintendent. Since November of 1998, he has supervised the construction of the new maintenance facility and the golf course renovations, including a major bunker rebuild project.
