Head Golf Professional: Jeffrey Rosenberg, PGA
Jeff Rosenberg was born and raised in Rockville, Maryland. He learned the game of golf as a teenager at Needwood Golf Course and Laytonsville Golf Course. He played on the Rockville High School golf team and moved on to attend the University of Maryland at College Park. Jeff took time off from his golf game for his studies, but rekindled his desire for the sport and joined the PGA apprentice program in 1991 while starting his career at Indian Spring Country Club in Silver Spring. He remained there for four years and moved on to Woodmont Country Club in Rockville and fine-tuned his skills as First Assistant.
In the spring of 1999, Jeff was tapped to be the first Head Golf Professional at the new P.B. Dye Golf Club in Frederick County. He remained there for four years and was a two-time nominee for the Middle Atlantic PGA’s (MAPGA) Merchandiser of the Year. He has been a Teaching Professional for the last few years.
As a player, Jeff won the MAPGA Northern Chapter Assistants Championship in 2007 and was a competitor in the Professional National Championship in June of 2007 at Sunriver Resort in Oregon.
Jeff brings his energy and passion for customer service to Little Bennett Golf Course. He loves to introduce kids and women to the game to foster the future growth of golf.
Superintendent: Matt Burton
Matt Burton joined the Montgomery County Revenue Authority in February of 2007. Previously, he was the First Assistant Superintendent at Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, MD. Matt has a Bachelor of Science degree in Turfgrass Management from the University of Maryland. He is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and the Mid-Atlantic Association of Golf Course Superintendents.
