The readers of Pros N’ Hackers magazine voted for Hampshire Greens Golf Course to receive Most Playable Award in 2007
Hampshire Greens opened to the public in June of 1999. Hampshire Greens features bentgrass from tee to green, including the fairways. The course is fair, yet challenging, from all four sets of tees - it approaches 6,900 yards from the tips and is just over 5,000 yards from the forward tees. The course lies within a housing development of the same name.
Hampshire Greens is located in Silver Spring near Ashton in the Eastern part of Montgomery County. The course is conveniently located off New Hampshire Avenue 8 miles outside of the Washington beltway. The course is less than 20 miles from Columbia, Maryland, Washington, DC, Arlington, Virginia, Tysons Corner, Virginia, and Frederick, Maryland. This is an ideal location for a higher end daily fee course and is accessible to golfers throughout the Washington and Baltimore areas. |
